How to Convert Text Case: UPPERCASE, camelCase, snake_case

Need a variable name in camelCase, but your original text is still an ordinary sentence? Instead of retyping it by hand, here's how to convert it into several text-case formats at once.

Text Case Converter turns one piece of text into eight different case formats at once — UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case, Sentence case, camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, and kebab-case — so you just copy whichever format you need.

camelCase vs. snake_case — which should you use?

It depends on the convention of the programming language you're using. JavaScript and Java generally use camelCase for variable names and PascalCase for class or component names. Python generally uses snake_case. Meanwhile, kebab-case is commonly used for URL slugs and CSS/HTML file names.

What's the difference between Title Case and Sentence case?

Title Case capitalizes the first letter of every word — a good fit for article titles or headings. Sentence case only capitalizes the first letter at the start of the sentence, with the rest lowercase, like an ordinary sentence.

Frequently asked questions

Is my text sent to a server?

No. Every case conversion runs directly in your browser.

Can it be used on long text like a paragraph?

Yes, though some formats like camelCase and PascalCase are usually better suited to variable names or short terms, not long sentences.

Does punctuation change too?

It depends on the format. For formats like camelCase, snake_case, and kebab-case, spaces and punctuation are usually removed or replaced according to each format's own rules.
